34 Days of Summer is a catch and release event that will run from June 15 through July 18, 2022.
Qualified anglers may use conventional or fly fishing tackle.
EVENT RULES
Anglers will fish from shore, boats, kayaks or other watercraft by themselves, with guides, or in small groups.
CASH PRIZES!
$400 to the largest fish of each of these species:

Snook
-
Redfish
-
Largemouth Bass
-
Peacock Bass
BONUS PRIZES!
$200 bonus prize to anglers using fly fishing gear.
$200 bonus prize for catching the largest fish using a fly that you tied.
$200 bonus prize using a fly rod that they built.
A fly fisherman catching the largest snook using a fly and a fly rod that they made could win $1,000.
There is NO ENTRY FEE!

Qualified Waters
Waters that anglers may fish will include Charlotte, Lee, Collier and Hendry county waters extending not more than 30 miles offshore.
Qualified Anglers
Participants must be a wounded or disabled US military veteran currently enrolled in the Southwest Florida Project Healing Waters Program, OR register for the tournament online and submit proof of at least a 30% disability rating from the VA.
Qualified Guides
Guides are not eligible for cash prizes. However, guides of winning participants will be recognized with awards memorializing their achievements. Qualified guides can be active charter captains or other individuals having experience on the waters they will be fishing.
Submission of Entries
Submissions must include a picture of the fish along with an official Tournament ruler showing the length of the fish, the fly rod and the fly used to catch the fish. Additionally, anglers must submit a fish entry form to fwah@fishwithahero.com, available here:

Leader Board and Awards
A Tournament Leader Board will be maintained on Social Media during the contest. An Awards Event will be held July 19 to honor Tournament Winners, guides and other participants.
Interpretation
Any interpretation or application of these rules shall be performed by the Tournament Committee, whose decision in all matters shall be final.
